Even if the thousands of viewers and fans of the television anime adaptation of "One Piece" aren't entertaining the possibility that it will be canceled after episode 763, there actually might be some truth to the cancellation rumor. Rumors are coming in claiming that considering how far ahead the anime series has gone in trying to catch up with the original manga content, there is that ever-growing prospect that the end is indeed near.

According to GameNGuide, the latest episode, "The Truth Behind the Disappearance! Sanji Gets a Startling Invitation," is actually based on chapter 813 in the manga series. While those who don't read the manga and instead stick with the anime adaptation are clueless, the die-hard fans of the original content know that the latest installment is chapter 845. Therefore, there now is a huge possibility that the anime version will be forced to end its run due to the lack of source material.

Nonetheless, it's premature to call the anime series' cancellation just because it is quickly catching up with the source material. Even if it is true that the manga version of "One Piece" has been stagnant for a while, there still is a possibility that more chapters will be added later on. As for the fans of both the anime and manga, there is a high level of confidence that the cancellation won't push through considering how immense the popularity of the series is.

Perhaps the most accurate assessment is that once the anime version eventually catches up with the manga, both will be put on a hiatus. This means that the creators of the anime will have to wait a little longer for the manga to produce considerable source material to create new episodes for its TV adaptation.

So for the fans of "One Piece," there's no reason to be utterly concerned since Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat Pirates will continue their adventures in search of the elusive "One Piece" treasure.
