The Finnish tech firm Nokia made an announcement just recently that they will be making a comeback in the mobile phone market next year as it is reported that the company will be releasing two Android smartphones in 2017.

It is also believed that the company will be launching the devices in Barcelona at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February 2017. Rumors of this particular release window arose when a user of the Chinese microblogging site Weibo posted some of the specs of the yet to be confirmed Nokia handsets. According to the alleged leak, the phones will be donning 5.2-inch and 5.5-inch displays.

Specifications about its camera have yet to be known. However, it was noted that it will be equipped with a Carl Zeiss lens which has been a staple in Nokia's camera-focused phones prior to the buyout by Bill Gates' Microsoft.

The downside of the said leak, though, is that the phones will be powered by a Snapdragon 820 chipset from Qualcomm that will be rendered as outmoded come next year. For those who are not yet in the know, the aforementioned processor has already been toppled by a newer 821 chip this year. The Snapdragon 821 which will also see the same fate as it will eventually be bumped by the Snapdragon 835 sometime next year.

Furthermore, the phones are most likely to be carrying the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system as this attribute was previously revealed by a benchmarking site.

Meanwhile, a ballpark figure for the phones' price tags has yet to be disclosed by Nokia but it is expected to be made known at MWC 2017 that will run from Feb. 27 until March 2, 2017. In the meantime, stay tuned for more news and updates.
