Sam (LL Cool J) almost died in the last episode of "NCIS: Los Angeles," but it does not mean that he can be stopped from joining in on all the explosive action in the next episode in season 6. Based on the official synopsis for episode 17, Sam will unexpectedly return to work. This will make his teammates worry about his health.

The episode summary reads:

"While the team investigates the death of one of three Afghanistan soldiers who are training in the U.S., they discover two other soldiers are missing and must find them before they're forced to reveal classified military operations to their captors. Also, Sam is back to work but his team worries it may be too soon, and Callen (Chris O'Donnell) realizes he has very little in common with his partner."

Does this mean that Callen and Sam will fight over some things in the next episode?

However, fans might have to wait a little longer before they find out what is next for Sam and Callen and the other members of the NCIS Los Angeles headquarters. Fashion N Style reported that the upcoming episode will not air this week, and CBS will rerun the premiere episode of season 6 instead. This is the network's step to make the season last longer without adding additional episodes.

When the season returns next week with a brand new episode, several guest stars will be featured. It will include Dominic Adams as Kamal Pajman, Ayal Stern as Mak Driver/Dalbir Gilani, Rebecca Metz as Lady, Jamison Haase as DEA Agent Leo Brenner, Andy Hoff as DEA Agent Mark Cornell, Tonja Kahlens as DEA Agent Lindley Richards, Mershad Torabi s Runner, Karthik Srinivasan as Abdul Farman, as well as Mehdi Merali as Fahad Ahmadi.

"NCIS: Los Angeles" season 6 episode 17 airs March 10 on CBS.
