Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Release Date Rumors: Better Battery life and New Windows OS?

Just when analysts started predicting that tablets will have already run their course and will start losing popularity, Miscorost baffled them all by releasing something else entirely: a laptop-tablet hybrid that stretches beyond the capabilities of what anybody could have imagined. This tablet was styled in such a way that you could attach a keyboard base to its screen whenever necessary. This allows for more laptop flexibility without sacrificing the comfort and accessibility of the tablet. The Surface Pro 4 also sports a pressure-sensitive stylus, a Core-M processor and decent specs for a good price. It is safe to assume that the new Surface Pro 5 will boast the same advantages, while improving on other features.

According to Trusted Reviews, they may even provide a 4k resolution screen and a USB-C port. Other predictions believe that the stylus pen will be pressure-sensitive, with an in-built rechargeable battery. They also believe that the inadequate battery life problem from the Surface Pro 4 will be fixed by the time the Surface Pro 5 rolls out. It may also have a microSD card slot, an audio jack and a MiniDisplay port available.

Most predictions for the Surface Pro 5's release suggest that it will be available in markets this October 2016. This marks it to be out one year after the Surface Pro 4, and gives the company enough time to design and build something more impressive than the one before. The Country Caller estimates the price tag to be $899 for the basic version, with the upgraded version costing $1800.

Another rumor also suggests that the tablet-laptop hybrid won't be out until 2017, which makes the date coincide with the release of the next major update to the Windows OS. By this coming 2017, they will have a RedStone 2 update for Windows, which will be a great boost to the Miscrosoft Surface Pro 5's capabilities.
