LA Lakers NBA 2015 trade news: No deal reached with LaMarcus Aldridge

As the free agency begins, one of the most sought after players is Portland Trail Blazers All-Star player LaMarcus Aldridge, who already met with the Los Angeles Lakers and will have more teams to meet.

According to ESPN, the other teams scheduled for Wednesday are the Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs, Dallas Mavericks, Phoenix Suns and Toronto Raptors, and for Thursday, the New York Knicks.

Lakers Nation reported on its website, that Aldridge's meeting with the Lakers Tuesday night lasted for more than two hours and "went very well," but no deal was reached.

ESPN's Ramona Shelburne tweeted: "The Lakers meeting with LaMarcus Aldridge went almost two hours. Source in the room said it went 'really well.'"

Shelburne later tweeted that Aldridge seemed very focused during the meeting with the Lakers.

Bill Oram of the Orange County Register confirmed the attendance of Lakers star Kobe Bryant in the meeting in a tweet which read, "Been told Kobe Bryant was 'very good' in Lakers meeting with LaMarcus Aldridge. Also, that meeting went 'well,' for what that's worth."

The Lakers reportedly had added confidence in being able to sign Aldridge when they selected former Ohio State standout point guard D'Angelo Russell as the No. 2 overall pick in the draft.

Following the meeting with Aldridge, the Lakers will now to turn their attention to DeAndre Jordan and Greg Monroe.

Lakers Nation reported that Jordan would meet with the team on Wednesday while Monroe's schedule has yet to be confirmed.

The Lakers are hoping to land a big name during the free agency period to continue their rebuilding process, as they aim to be contenders next season.
