Tetsuya Nomura from Square Enix has recently opened up about the developments on "Kingdom Hearts 3," along with the few difficulties that the team has been going through.

It was reported by Kotaku last Sept. 26 that Nomura's team has been working continuously on the upcoming game, although they did have to put up with the challenges of addressing the game's engine and visuals issues.

"We're regularly meeting schedule deadlines," Nomura stated. "Unfortunately, due to the engine, there are areas on the visual side where we're struggling."

Nonetheless, Nomura has stated that the team is carrying on smoothly with the necessary processes, while he focuses on writing the script and selecting the worlds that are to be included in the game. In particular, he emphasized the challenge that Square Enix has been undergoing in selecting new worlds.

While there have been speculations that "Frozen" by Disney will be included in "Kingdom Hearts 3," it has been confirmed by Nomura himself that such rumors are not true. He did mention that he is in the middle of writing the scenario and creating new outfits for characters Sora and Riku. The game will also be published by Disney Interactive Studios.

Last month, Nomura also mentioned in an interview with the Los Angeles Times that the fans should not expect the upcoming game to be the last installment of the "Kingdom Hearts" series.

"In 'Kingdom Hearts 3,' the battles that the characters have been fighting for the past 10 years will come to a conclusion; that is the plan," Nomura stated. "But the series will continue. Only the particular enemy they have been fighting the past 10 years will come to an end."

While no official date has been set for the game's official release, "Kingdom Hearts 3" will be made available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The "Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD ReMIX" for PS3 will also be launched in North America this December.
