Jeremy Lin injury news: Nets PG thanks fans and God for rehabilitation progress, hopes for a great comeback

Brooklyn Nets point guard Jeremy Lin will be out of the entire National Basketball Association season to make way for his recovery. While Lin is looking forward to making a comeback next season, the 29-year-old baller admitted that he is still coping with his injury and its impact on his career.

In October, Lin suffered a ruptured patella tendon during the Nets' first match against the Indiana Pacers this season. The baller was escorted out the arena in pain. A few weeks later, it was confirmed that he would be spending most of his time in the midst of recovery in order to make a comeback for next season.

Lin posted a thank you message on the Chinese website Weixin. The cager showed his appreciation to his family, fans and teammates for their support during his struggle.

In his message, the Nets point guard indicated that he is making progress with his rehabilitation.

"I am excited to start the next journey. My trainer, rehabilitation division, my team and I already have a comprehensive and thoughtful plan that will allow me to rebuild myself from the ground up," he said.

Lin is recognized as one of the most outspoken athletes when it comes to his religious beliefs. Included in his message was his appreciation to God who he said gives him confidence, happiness and peace.

"But through all this, I learned the most important thing is to have hope. My faith gave me hope because I know that God has always had a perfect plan for me in my life," he said.

The man who started the Linsanity fever has been posting pictures of his rehabilitation on Instagram to keep his fans and teammates updated.

Lin's fellow NBA player, Utah Jazz's small forward Gordon Hayward, is also undergoing thorough rehabilitation after a gruesome injury. The two players are looking for a great comeback in the 2018–2019 NBA season.
