There's endless talk about the iPhone 6 release date and features, but there won't be any real answers until Apple's media event on Sept. 9. Until then, no one outside the company will really know what the device actually looks like, what features it has, and when it's going to be sold in the market.
Nevertheless, just to reiterate what most everyone already "knows" about the mysterious smartphone, here's a roundup of what's been going around and around the rumor mill:
The supposed iPhone 6 will come in two screen sizes – one will be 4.7 inches and the other will measure 5.5 inches. It's, of course, expected that the resolution will be much sharper than any current device that Apple has, presumably 16 ppi compared to iPhone 5S's 10.5 ppi.
As for speed, it is imagined that the device will run on an A8 processor, and will have improved Internet speed due to its new Wi-Fi chip. The processor will supposedly improve the battery life which is said to be 1810mAh for the 4.7-inch model and 2915mAh for the 5.5-inch model.
Speculators think that the 4.7-inch model will hit the shelves a week or two after the media event on Sept. 9, while the 5.5-inch model will come much later.
Other unconfirmed information includes the thinness of the new models: it is said that the smaller version is only 6.9 mm thin, while its bigger sibling is 7.1 mm. It is also said that the device will have a 128GB storage.
But rather than speculate and lose sleep about what the next iPhone will look like, it's best to wait a few more days for the Apple media event to find out its real specs.
