The HTC One M9 may be the talk of the town, but a relatively huge spotlight shines on its alleged bigger sibling, the HTC One M9 Plus. Just recently, tech tipster OnLeaks shared mockup renders of the handset put side by side with the standard One M9 smartphone.
The image reveals a physical home button splitting the BoomSound speakers at the bottom of the bigger smartphone, making it the key difference between the two. This is likely to make way for a fingerprint scanner for the device.
One will also notice that the camera lens for the HTC One M9 Plus is circular whereas its smaller kin has it in square shape. And although the One M9 Plus is the larger of the two, its 5.2-inch screen is not really considered gigantic.
OnLeaks revealed that the One M9 Plus will measure 150.9 x 72.5 x 10.15 mm. The HTC One M9 is at 144.6 x 69.7 x 9.6 mm.
Although the HTC One M9 Plus looks much of a feat, the leakster says that it may not make its way out HTC's door. While that bit remains unfounded, it's practically the same with the reports claiming that it will be landing in Europe soon. IF HTC has plans on releasing it, the tech community would likely know soon — whether it may be via new leaks or official announcements.
In the event the HTC One M9 Plus finds its way into the market, it will most likely be powered by either a MediaTek MT6795 chipset (likely for users in China) or a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor (for buyers everywhere else). The sizeable screen of the HTC One M9 Plus will be in Quad HD. The imaging department should not be drastically different from its sibling. The device is also likely to pack 32 GB of expandable memory and hefty 3 GB of RAM.
