The latest trailer of "House of Cards" season 4, courtesy of the Hollywood Reporter, confirms speculations that the season will see a war between Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) and his wife Claire (Robin Wright). The trailer also reveals that this conflict will escalate to the point where people start killing each other.

"You have no idea what it means to have nothing. You don't value what we have achieved. I have had to fight for everything my entire life," Frank states during the trailer's opening moments. He then ends the trailer by telling Claire "We had a future 'till you started destroying it."

In between the dialogue spoken by Frank are quick shots of events that will unfold throughout the season. Fans will get their first good look at new guest star Neve Campbell, who appears to be on Claire's side, and also a fleeting glimpse of Joel Kinnaman.

Newcomers Ellen Burstyn and Emmy Award-winning Cicely Tyson are also spotted in the trailer.

Several scenes also depict Doug (Michael Kelly) murdering someone, most likely at Frank's command, and there are shots of characters wielding guns in what may end up as an assassination attempt on Frank's life or at least against one of his competitors, including Claire.

[Spoiler Warning]

Fans of the original U.K. series, which this Netflix original is based on, will point out that Frank doesn't rise on top as he is later assassinated and there is now the possibility that this could be how season 4 ends, given how Claire knows all his secrets, including the murder of Peter Russo (Corey Stoll) and how the trailer reveals an armed assassin.

As pointed out by Movie News Guide, all the violence of the war between Claire and Frank will be accompanied by the show's depiction of the Presidential election, hence the scenes depicting campaign rallies, gospel choirs and several press events.

"House of Cards" season 4 premieres this March 4.
