'Grimm' season 5 spoilers: Juliette really dead? Not returning?

After Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) died at the season four finale, Nick (David Giuntoli) would be facing darker days ahead at "Grimm" season five. NBC

It looks like "Grimm" season 5 will go on without Juliette. The veterinarian-turned-Hexenbeist was killed by Trubel seconds after begging her former lover Nick to kill her once and for all. Series creators David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf said that Juliette is no more and that she won't return.

However, fans refuse to accept Juliette's fate in the series. There is hope that Betsie Tulloch's character, who viewers followed as she lost her humanity and gave in to her terrible destiny, will still return in season 5 of the hit supernatural series.

This is because in the finale, Agent Chavez stepped into the scene ordering his men to get either Trubel or Juliette, who Nick cradled as she breathed her last. Still not knowing who he was referring to, media outlets surmise that its either Trubel betrayed Nick or Chavez wants something from Juliette.

That won't be revealed until season 5 of "Grimm" starts, though. What viewers can be assured of for now is that the series will be darker than it was in the season where Nick received a package containing his mom's head, Captain Renard was taken over, and Juliette's transition was at its peak. This should be saying something.

"It's going to change the show's course," Kouf told The Hollywood Reporter of Juliette's death. "I think it's going to be even darker still in a way. You know, it's not going to be the same Grimm."

Although Tulloch has always imagined herself staying in the show for as long as it runs, it looks like her commitments to three films may have led to her character being killed off. She is part of a movie called "Chronic," which is now out in France. She will also be busy with a sports movie titled "Concussion" and another one called "Dead Row," both slated to be released this year.

"Grimm" season 5 will be back in fall.
