'Grimm' season 5 episode 7 spoilers: Nick and Adalind share a kiss?

Nick and Adalind about to kiss?

Will Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) get entangled in a weird love triangle in the next episode of "Grimm" season 5?

Before the first half of the season ended on Dec. 11, fans of the dark fantasy crime series were introduced to a new character that looks exactly like Juliette Silverton. The new character, Eve, is portrayed by actress Bitsie Tulloch, who also plays Juliette.

This left fans wondering if Eve's entrance  will affect the budding relationship between Nick and Adalind Schade (Claire Coffee) -- former mortal enemies who now have a child together.

In an interview with TV Line, "Grimm" co-creators James Kouf and David Greenwalt revealed that the lives of the three characters will start to get more complicated in the upcoming season of the series.

"[The Nick-Adalind relationship] is going to have a life of its own without the Juliette/Eve [aspect], because they have a kid," Greenwalt shared.

"But there's a lot of other complicated things that are going on that will determine how that relationship works out," Kouf added.

Meanwhile, the latest promo images tease that Nick and Adalind might share a kiss in the seventh episode of "Grimm" season 5.

Could this mean that the two are finally giving each other a chance to become partners in raising their child?

The trailer for the upcoming midseason premiere episode of "Grimm" season 5 also teases a threat to humanity caused by a discord within the Wesen world, and Nick could be the only one to stop it.

Based on the trailer, Nick will go to Germany's Black Forest with Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell). Nick holds the key that will stop the uprising among the Wesens.

"Grimm" season 5 episode 7 is scheduled to premiere on Jan. 22, on NBC.
