"Gotham" is currently airing its fourth season, and a new promo for the third episode this week features Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) taking matters into his own hands as he tries to dethrone Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor).

Jim travels to Miami to find Carmine Falcone (John Doman) and there he meets his daughter Sofia (Crystal Reed). Their encounter in the teaser seems to be a bit tense, with Sofia asking him what he is doing in Miami until Carmine tells Jim that he does not keep any secrets from his children. Now that Jim is aware that Sofia knows what went on over the years, he explains that he needs his help in taking the city back from Penguin.

The following scene in the teaser shows Sofia at the GCPD. She tells Jim that they could do great things together. As revealed in the episode's official synopsis, she helps Jim to dethrone Penguin and follows him back to Gotham along the way.

Meanwhile, Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) continues his vigilante watch. The promo shows him at another function held by Penguin, with the latter shaking his hand and telling him how he is going out a lot more lately.

Later on, he is wearing his new suit and looking over someone who appears to be a masked Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova), who seems to be trying to pull off what seems like a high-risk job. Bruce says that they are walking into a trip, and Alfred Pennyworth (Sean Pertwee) tells him that while he is okay with him protecting the innocent, he is not okay with him risking his life for a thief.

There is a chance that Bruce does not know that it is Selina, nor does Selina know that the one protecting her from some armed men is Bruce. It seems more likely that Bruce would know that it is Selina behind the mask.

"Gotham" season 4 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. EDT on FOX.
