Production outfit Ufotable has remained mum about the succeeding season of "God Eater." Rumor has it that the yet to be released season will showcase a new team leader in the position that was once helmed by Lindow Amamiya.

If the current rumors about season 2 are anything to go by, it is presumed that the new season will be featuring Lenka Utsugi as the new main protagonist of the anime series. The character was introduced in the previous season as part of the team led by Lindow. It can be recalled during the show's season 1 finale, Lenka was the one that motivated the team to go on with the mission after the team went in total shock after seeing Lindow's arm being gnawed by one of the Aragamis.

Meanwhile, it was also speculated that another character will rise to the occasion and will be side by side with Lenka as the main heroes of the show. However, specific details about the upcoming season are hard to come by as of the moment.

In the rumor mill, it is suggested that Lindow may have survived the Dyaus Pita attack that cost him his arm. It is said that after his arm was bitten off by the said beast, he was rescued just in time by a humanoid Aragami named Shio. However, fans of the franchise should be taking these with a grain of salt as Ufotable has yet to release a statement about next season's official story plot.

In addition, the air date for the show's second season also remains undisclosed. However, it is believed that it might see the light of day next year. Fans, in the meantime, should keep themselves in the know about the freshest details about "God Eater" season 2.
