The official trailer of 'Furious 7' was released Nov. 1 in a special event in Los Angeles. Aired on E! and streamed online, the clip brought both excitement for the upcoming film as well as sadness over the loss of the late actor Paul Walker.

Walker, who passed away on Nov. 30, 2013 in a tragic accident before the filming of the movie ended, was a solid member of the "Fast & Furious" family. The production team emphasized this in one of the scenes in the montage.

Dominic Toretto (played by Vin Diesel) says, "I don't have friends. I've got family," zooming the cam in on Walker's character.

As part of the event, members of the cast went onstage to answer questions from fans. Aside from Diesel, also present during the Q&A were F&F mainstays Michelle Rodriguez (Letty Ortiz), Tyrese Gibson (Roman Pierce), Jordana Brewster (Dom's sister Mia Toretto), and Ludracris (Tej Parker). Also at the event is the new antagonist in the franchise, Jason Statham.

Statham plays Ian Shaw, a baddie determined to avenge the death of his brother Owen, and he's out to get Toretto and his crew.

Agent Luke Hobbs (played by Dwayne Johnson) says in the trailer, "Remember Owen Shaw? This is the big bad brother."

Bad guy he might be in the film, but the British actor maintains just as much crowd appeal as the main characters themselves.

During the live show, Gibson said, in jest, "I think Jason poured his accent a little heavy today. I see what you're doing, with all the ladies out here."

Statham is known for playing Frank Martin, the lead character in the "Transporter" films, as well as for being part of the Stallone starrer "The Expendables," portraying the role of Lee Christmas.

Aside from Walker, Johnson, and those present during the event, "Furious 7" also stars Lucas Black, Elsa Pataky, Kurt Russell, Tony Jaa, Ronda Rousey, Nathalie Emmanuel, Djimon Hounsou, John Brotherton, and Ali Fazal.

The movie will roll out in theaters on April 3, 2015.
