Despite the worrying silence surrounding the development of the highly anticipated "Five Nights at Freddy's" movie, the project is not off the cards as previous rumors suggested.

Director Gil Kenan set the record straight on Twitter, reassuring fans that development is ongoing and that his team is still working on the script of the film.

A month later, "Five Nights at Freddy's" creator Scott Cawthon confirmed that they are still in the process of scriptwriting and that "the people involved are taking the movie seriously."

Kenan plans to use real animatronics in the "Five Nights at Freddy's" movie instead of computer-generated imagery or CGI. Jim Henson's Creature Shop will help out in breathing to life these monsters of the night.

Cawthon will be very much involved in the making of the "Five Nights at Freddy's" movie. However, he is also working on his upcoming game "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location."

On top of that, he is still committed to enriching the gaming experience in his spinoff game "Five Nights at Freddy's World." Update 2 for the game was recently released, although players will have to complete the normal mode or hard mode of the game.

As for "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location," Cawthon shared a new teaser image featuring another character from the upcoming installment.

The character is missing an eye (the other one colored red looks terrifying), has a pink nose and razor sharp teeth. The endoskeleton also shows in the image, proving she is one of the Baby's gang.

In a new leak by a Reddit user, it was revealed that Baby (the pig-tailed clown-like animatronic) and the rest of the characters can be rented for organized events. Fans appear to love and look forward to this idea.

As for the "Five Nights at Freddy's" movie, it is rumored the film won't be out until June 2018.
