"PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" or PUBG releases its first patch notes for Xbox One just over a week after it was launched in the gaming console.

According to reports, the first patch addresses performance issues, including the frame rate and graphical polish, which were sluggish even when there was not a lot of action on screen.

The update gives "first pass visual and performance improvements," slightly improved the anti-aliasing on Xbox One and Xbox One S, disabled keyboard functionality and changed the controls on motorcycles so that they are no longer inverted. There are also localized updates in Spain and Mexico.

The user interface (UI) also received improvements. The equipment icons on the head-up display (HUD) is now visible, as well as the player icon on the world map.

As for visuals, sidecar passenger animations in first-person view have been cleaned up, the camera issues when a passenger is on the backseat of a Buggy have been fixed, while arm animations when holding weapons have been addressed. Players would also be happy to know that the character now faces the right direction when stopping while swimming.

Other character developments include tweaked hair color options.

There is also a slight improvement on gameplay, as gas can now be used while on a bike or bike with sidecar.

PUBG also issued a number of bug fixes, which can be found in the patch notes.

While the updates provided marginal improvements on PUBG, players who have tried out the updated game still experienced a number of lagging issues, citing slow parachuting and map functionality. Hopefully, PUBG addresses those soon as well.

"PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" was launched on Xbox One Game Preview on Dec 12. On PC, it is currently being prepared for a full launch, which should happen today, Dec. 20.
