'Fallout 4' accidentally confirmed by Guillermo del Toro's CG studio employee

Fallout 3 Bethesda

It's been long speculated that one of the reasons Bethesda is appearing at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo is to announce and showcase "Fallout 4." Now, it appears that the project is indeed in development. According to a report from Destructoid, an employee working for Mirada Studios added "Fallout 4 cinematic trailer" to his experience list in his LinkedIn profile.

Mirada Studios is a CG studio owned by Hollywood director Guillermo del Toro. The company focuses on creating cinematic cutscenes and narrative trailers for video games. If Mirada Studios was hired to do a cinematic trailer for "Fallout 4," then it is likely that this is the trailer Bethesda will use when they unveil the project at the E3 convention.

According to the information posted on the employee's LinkedIn profile, he also worked on other video games such as "Forza Motorsports" and "Far Cry 4."

The employee listed working for the project from December 2014 to March 2015, four months total. It doesn't mean that the trailer was completed within that time frame but it does fit in nicely into Bethesda's E3 schedule. Others speculate that Bethesda might unveil a new "Elder Scrolls" game if "Fallout 4" is not yet ready for the E3 presentation.

Destructoid was later given a notice by Mirada Studios to pull the report down, citing a non-disclosure agreement. However, Destructoid states that no one in the company signed an NDA contract, allowing them to keep the story posted online. This does confirm that an NDA exists, yet it is still unclear who broke the contract and exposed the information.

GamesRadar reports that this is still all speculation. "Fallout 4" has still not been officially confirmed by Bethesda and the company has also not given any information regarding their relations with Mirada Studios or their plans for the E3 2015. However, the site also reiterates that the likelihood of "Fallout 4" not appearing at the E3 event is very slim, given the popularity of the franchise.
