"Just when you thought that it was safe to go outside...They're coming back!"

This is what Sylvester Stallone during his recent Instagram post, which fueled speculations that the American actor is going to create a new "Expendables" movie, this was after a report from entertainment news website Deadline last year that he is walking away due to disagreements regarding the movie's production.

It was reported that Stallone did not agree with Expendables producer Avi Lerner on who would direct the film. There was also an issue with the script and who would be commissioned to work on the movie's special effects.

Stallone was allegedly concerned with how the end product might be unsatisfactory and drag the success and credibility of the first three films down with it, which led to his decision to walk away. The 71-year-old actor received an Academy Award nomination a few years ago for the "Rocky" spinoff, Creed and might not have wanted to derail his newfound momentum.

On the other hand, Lerner refused to acknowledge that the actor had completely walked away from the franchise, especially when the two of them have agreed on several ideas.

"We've got disagreements with Sly, but we've had them for over a year and a half," Lerner told Deadline. "Right now, each one has an opinion. We agreed on 95% of things, but there are certain things in production we don't agree on. I don't think it's over, but write whatever you want. In my opinion, it's not dead."

Fellow action film legend Arnold Schwarzenegger said that he would not want to be in another Expendables movie if Stallone was no longer part of it.

Stallone's Instagram post, however, now suggests that he has already settled things with Lerner, so if everything goes well, the movie might begin production very soon, hopefully within the year.
