Fresh from releasing an expansion for their zombie apocalypse survival game, developer Techland promised more content for their "Dying Light" title.

According to Games Radar, Techland revealed this bit of good news in an open letter from Pawel Marchewka, Techland CEO. The company executive promised more content for the players, stating that, "To make sure that every new or veteran player gets all the fun they deserve, we have decided to continue our support for Dying Light at least till the end of this year."

It is unclear whether the upcoming content will reveal themselves as DLC follow-ups to the "The Following" expansion, a number of improvement updates, or a combination of both. However, Marchewka added that the development team is already on it, saying "We are already working on new unannounced content, so stay tuned for our future news."

The news follows the release of "The Following" DLC for the game, as well as the launch of "Dying Light: Enhanced Edition." Game Spot added that as per Techland, the promise of new, unannounced content is the company's way of acknowledging the overwhelming support for the game. "We always had faith in the project, but seeing so many enthusiastic opinions among players and high review scores from the press is utterly heartwarming," Marchewka stated in the letter.

According to the industry follower, "Dying Light" has already surpassed 5 million copies, based on an estimate made by game producer Tymon Smektala in August last year. In addition, the industry observer mentioned how the continued success of "Dying Light" already ensures that a sequel will be taking place, in addition to new expansion.

Smektala's previous statement also seemed to confirm this. The game producer is quoted as saying, "We have lots of very ambitious ideas so first we need to check if these ideas are even doable with the tech that the current consoles provide."
