The latest DLC for "Dragon Age: Inquisition" is the "Jaws of Hakkon" expansion pack, which was released first to PC and Xbox One last March 23. As part of a timed exclusivity agreement with Microsoft, the release for other platforms was delayed, and so the expansion appeared on PS3, PS4 and Xbox 360 on May 26.
Now, although there still are planned expansion packs in the future, it seems that "Jaws of Hakkon" will be the final expansion for "Dragon Age: Inquisition" – for Xbox 360 and PS3, that is. Developer BioWare revealed via a post on its official website that in introducing a new Save Importer feature for the game, future expansions will not be extended to the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game.
According to the company, "All future 'Dragon Age: Inquisition' DLC will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One only, so we designed our Save Importer feature to help make the transition to a new console as easy as possible."
The Save Importer tool can be used by players who are using older-gen console versions to continue their game saves on the PS4 and Xbox One without having to play again from the beginning. The promotional items and in-game inventory of the players will also be carried over in the migration of the game saves.
In addition, those who have already downloaded the DLC packs into their old-gen platforms, including "Spoils of the Avvar" and "Jaws of Hakkon," can also download the DLCs into the PS4 and Xbox One free of charge.
The Save Importer tool is to be included in the upcoming update for the game, which will be Patch 8 for "Dragon Age: Inquisition," scheduled for this month.
