'Dishonored 2' cheats, tips, tricks: getting to grips with the basics is key

Arkane Studios and Bethesda Softworks' stealth action-adventure sequel, "Dishonored 2" has finally arrived as it was made available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows PC last week. Moreover, fans who got to play the first game will be reacquainted with an old friend as Emily Kaldwin returns to take back what is rightfully hers.

On the other hand, those who are fairly new to the game will have to learn the basics first and after many hours of playing the new title, it is assured that they will be able to face stronger foes as they progress further in the game.

It's a known fact that players can opt to play as either Emily or Corvo Attano, not to mention that the two have their own special skills that give them the upper hand against lesser-skilled opponents. However, since sneaking up on enemies is the name of the game in the "Dishonored" series, gamers will have to practice how to do such since it will be a whole lot easier to progress in the game unnoticed than playing it otherwise.

Furthermore, players might want to just knock out weaker opponents like roaming guards and the like, in order to get less attention and avoid other guards who could alarm the rest that one of their comrades has been killed. If players feel the need to finish off their foe, they may do so in a hush-hush manner.

Another tip to point out is instead of taking the usual route to reach a certain checkpoint within the game, players can opt to take alternative paths where enemies are not often spotted. The new title has a massive game environment that fans can fully utilize and take advantage of.

Lastly, players can combine both the abovementioned basics and their character's unique abilities for a more lethal combination.

Meanwhile, the game maker hasn't announced any downloadable content for the new game, though it is pretty much expected to arrive in the near future.
