Bungie dropped the latest "Destiny" update that includes the Crimson Days event, which players can enjoy right in time for Valentine's Day.

The February update contains some of the much-needed fixes and improvements for the game, as well as several tweaks to the Crucible operations. But perhaps the most exciting content of the latest "Destiny" update is the new playable activity called Crimson Days, which started at exactly 10 a.m. PST on Feb. 9 and will end on Feb. 16 at exactly 1 a.m. PST.

According to the Bungie blog, Crimson Days "celebrates two Guardians, united against the competition, watching one another's backs and becoming legend together." In this event, "a Crucible Fireteam, forging bonds of teamwork and friendship that even death only strengthens."

For this event, players who are at least Level 40 are needed to work in pairs to be able to go to the Tower to talk with Lord Shaxx in order to grab the new quest called "Crimson Bonds."

Players with pre-made fireteam of 2 can also opt to play the 2v2 PvP Crimson Doubles, where players can be marked with a "Broken Heart" buff when their partner is down. This could allow them to reload faster and get maxed stats. The Crimson Doubles also allows players to get new Shaders as well as a new Ghost Shells, which can drop up to a maximum of 320 Light. This event also replaced the typical Shaxx bounties, which are released every week, with special Crimson Doubles bounties while the event is still running.

Aside from the Crimson Days event, the February update for "Destiny" also comes with several fixes, including some for an issue where several emote incidents will appear twice and the Refer-a-Friend buff won't work properly when players join an in-progress activity.

Several issues in the weapons are also fixed, such as the sudden appearance of an extra icon on the kiosk after players get the MIDA Multi-Tool exotic weapon for Destiny Year One and Year Two.
