'DWTS' 2016 casting rumors: Teresa Giudice refuses offer to join competition?

Dancing with the Stars ABC

"Dancing with the Stars" season 22 rumors claimed that "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice might find her way to the ABC dancefloor soon. But recent reports revealed that this will not be the case.

A source recently revealed to Page Six that "Teresa was offered a six-figure sum, but she decided against it." The source also explained why the reality show celebrity had to turn down the offer despite the huge paycheck. She reportedly felt that "she needs to spend time with her family and be there for her children right now."

The 43-year-old mother of four was jailed at the Federal Correctional Institution from Jan. 5 to Dec. 23, 2015.

While Giudice turned down a spot in the latest line-up of celebrity contestants in ABC's long-running reality dance competition, the "Fuller House" actress Jodie Sweetin reportedly signed up to vie for the coveted Mirror Ball trophy for "Dancing with the Stars" season 22.

Other casting rumors claimed that "Orange Is the New Black" star Taryn Manning, "Chasing Life" lead actress Italia Ricci, "The Bachelorette" season 11's Kaitlyn Bristowe, and current "The Bachelor" gentleman Ben Higgins will be included in the roster of celebrity contestants in the show's upcoming season.

However, none of these celebrities have so far confirmed their participation on the show.

Meanwhile, a press release from ABC regarding the 22nd season of "Dancing with the Stars" revealed that judge Len Goodman will return to the show after resting for season 21. He will once again join fellow judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Julianne Hough and determine who should win in season 22.

The press release also revealed that host Tom Bergeron will return to the stage this season, but was not mentioned if his co-host Erin Andrews will be back for "Dancing with the Stars" season 22.
