Despite issues plaguing the reality show "Dance Moms," it seems that season 7 is still a go.
In a post on Instagram, dance coach Abby Lee Miller seems to be on the lookout for her next big star after the Ziegler sisters Maddie and MacKenzie left the show to pursue individual careers, Game N Guide reported.
The departure of the sisters from the show has obviously affected the show's ratings as they are the most popular cast members of the series. Chloe Lukasiak — who was also one of the more popular dancers to come from "Dance Moms" — left the show earlier and while rumors were rife about her return, the budding actress denied that she will be returning to Abby Lee's studio.
In her post, Abby Lee opened a casting call for July 10 for auditions and master classes, cementing her determination to find her next dance prodigy.
Meanwhile, cast members have reportedly started filming for the new episodes that will air for season 7. Brynn Rumfallo, Kendall Vertes, Kalani Hilliker, and Nia Frazier have already started participating in new competitions for the new installment of the reality series. However, Jojo Siwa was reportedly not present at the competition.
Based on the report by Yibada, Hilliker shared a photo of herself with her fellow Junior Elite team members as they joined the Sheer Talent competition in Las Vegas last weekend. Fans of the show noted that Siwa was not present in the photos. Still, this may be due to the 13-year-old dancer's announcement that she and her mom will be living in Los Angeles for a while.
Rumors refused to die down about an underlying story about Siwa's non-appearance in the competition, especially since she is going to be based in Los Angeles, which is also where the series will be filmed.
Some fans are speculating that Siwa may be the next cast member to leave the Lifetime show.
