The next case that the BAU will tackle proves to be an interesting one and may be connected to high school bullying, and maybe even something more.

According to a synopsis posted by Spoiler TV for the episode entitled "The Anti Terrorism Squad", the BAU investigates if bullying could be the link between two high school students who are the sole survivors in the murders of both their families. It is speculated that the survivors may become suspects in the investigation or may be linked to the murders of their families if they were bullied into hurting their kin.

In a promo for the episode, Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness) stumbles on some crucial evidence concerning the case and she says, "I'm seeing the tip of a really big iceberg," which suggests that the case may be related to something deeper.

Meanwhile, it has been reported by iTechPost that a major arc is being prepared for Dr. Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) and it is connected to his mother, who is played by actress Jane Lynch.

While working on a case in Los Angeles, Reid will find out that the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has found his mother wandering around in a casino. Rossi (Joe Mantegna) will allegedly encourage the doctor to leave the case and see about the welfare of his mom.

It is reported that this onlythe beginning of the arc for the mother and son which viewers should watch out for.

Meanwhile, it seems there are no plans to write Thomas Gibson — who plays Hotch — back into the series after the character was sent on a "special assignment."

The actor was fired from the show after an on-set altercation, and his character's duties as leader of the BAU is now being split between returning character Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster) and Rossi.

"Criminal Minds" season 12 airs every Wednesday at 9 p.m. EDT on CBS.
