'Avatar 2' plot spoilers: Jake and Neytiri to have kids?

Zoe Saldana as Neytiri in 'Avatar' 20th Century Fox

If rumors are correct, it seems like Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) will forget the fact that they came from two extremely different species to fight for their love for each other and push through with their relationship in "Avatar 2" sequel.

A recent report from Movie News Guide stated that the main plot of the sequel of the highest-grossing film of all time will still be focused on the love story between the human and the Na'vi princess. But this time, Jake and Neytiri will have their own children, and they will be half Na'vi and half human.

Saldana also teased about a possible emotional story arc between Neytiri and Jake in an interview with MTV early this year, saying that something wonderful is about to unfold in the upcoming series of sequels for Avatar.

"Jim took us and gave us a tour of all the reference pictures, telling us the stories," the actress explained in an interview spotted by CrossMap. "I haven't been able to read the scripts. They're still working on them. We kind of get choked up. [James Cameron] gets emotional telling us about the story. I get emotional hearing about it, so I'm looking forward to it."

Cameron spoke with Fox News in 2011 about the sequels.

"We're shooting two films back-to-back, so I'm writing two scripts, not one, which will complete a [three]-film story arc – not really a trilogy, but just an overall character arc so I'm pretty excited about that. We're doing a lot of preliminary work right now on new software and new animation techniques and so on," the director told Fox.

The upcoming sequels for "Avatar" movie are simultaneously being shot and will be released each December starting 2017 up to 2019.
