The next to get a taste of Google's newest software treat are a couple of Samsung greats. The South Korea-based tech firm has started seeding Android Lollipop on the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge and the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, both released in November last year.

Owners of the Note Edge in India should be getting a prompt to install Android 5.0.1 Lollipop on their 5.6-inch device. The update had to circle Australia first before finding its way to the country, and now, the 2014 device with model number SM-915G should be gussied up with the operating system.

The update is 1.04 GB in size so it's important for users to make some room so as to be able to install Android Lollipop successfully. They should get ready for a smooth interface, system performance improvements and battery-catering tools like the Project Volta.

Meanwhile, the 5.1-inch Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus in the Nordic region of Europe should be donning the Lollipop look as well. The admittedly not-so-known device is getting the sweet treatment, mostly bug fixes and performance enhancements tweaks. Those who rock the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus with the model number SM-G901F can download and install it via the Kies desktop software. As of the moment, an over-the-air update is not yet available but GSM Arena says it will soon.

Android Lollipop brings Material Design with vibrant colors and animations. It is also packed with new features that make changes on the notifications and lock screen of devices. Most importantly, it improves the security and performance of any handset wearing it.
