Plot speculations about the next half of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 3 have emerged while the series is on hiatus.
Series showrunners Jeff Bell and Jed Whedon said that viewers of the show will finally find out the story behind the mysterious Inhuman who suddenly arrived during the midseason finale of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 3.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Bell said: "We don't know much at this state except that it seems to be very, very old and that people from Hydra have been paying it attention and trying to bring it back for centuries."
He also revealed that the mysterious Inhuman could come with a lot of power and baggage.
Meanwhile, Whedon revealed that the second half of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 3 will also focus on Phil Coulson's (Clark Gregg) feelings after what he did to Grant Ward (Brett Dalton) in the first half of the season.
"He will have no choice but to continue as though nothing has happened, but it's a question of how it affects him emotionally," Whedon told Entertainment Weekly.
He also revealed that things will start to look better for Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) and Coulson when the series returns next year.
"Nothing brings people together like suffering," Whedon said. "They've both suffered almost unimaginable losses. They've always been close. Those are the sort of things that bring people back together."
He added: "Their friendship is very special, both to them and to us. Their scenes together, you can feel the history, and feel their friendship. Having both suffered so much, it only follows logic that they would end up being driven together by it."
The second part of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 3 premieres on March 8 on ABC.
