Netflix will officially venture into a whole new and distinctive type of television once it begins airing the show titled "A Series of Unfortunate Events," based on Lemony Snicket's all-time favorite children's novel series of the same title. And knowing that the series is nearing its premiere, Snicket, Daniel Handler in real life, recently unveiled new photos, revealing a couple of characters to be included in the show.

Based on the photos released on Twitter, the upcoming Netflix show will officially include Justice Strauss and Dr. Georgina Orwell. Strauss is going to be played by Joan Cusack while Dr. Orwell will be portrayed by Catherine O'Hara. Aside from the two, a separate post also revealed the inclusion of two other actors in Aasif Mandvi and Don Johnson, although Snicket did not elaborate as to what roles they will be playing in the series.

The book series, which serves as the source material for the TV adaptation, tells the story of the Baudelaire children who were orphaned at a young age and are forced to live with their closest relative, Count Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris). Little do they know that Count Olaf has many dark secrets and only agreed to house the kids in order to steal their inheritance. As the story goes deeper in the book, the kids eventually find out that their parents and Olaf are somewhat connected to a secret society named V.F.D.

For the moment, there is no information as to how much the TV adaptation will follow the events of the book, but it's safe to assume that it will be a complete and accurate depiction considering the fact that the author serves as an executive producer.

"A Series of Unfortunate Events," which is scheduled to premiere on Jan. 13, 2017, also stars Patrick Warburton as Lemony Snicket, Malina Weissman as Violet Baudelaire, Louis Hynes as Klaus Baudelaire, and K. Todd Freeman as Mr. Arthur Poe.
