The new Ford Raptor has been upgraded, in nearly every sense of the word. Auto enthusiasts all over the world have undoubtedly been enamored by the new, heavy-duty pickup truck from Ford. And they have every reason to be.
When you first take a look at the exterior of the truck, it is evident that the added body paints up the appearance of the vehicle. The front face of the truck looks fiercer this time around, thanks to the redesigned grille. The new Raptor is also rumored to feature a privacy glass on the rear end, automatic headlights, skid plates on the underside, and a cargo management system.
The official specs list has not been announced. But speculations regarding its interiors suggest that the truck may come with an automatic dual-zone climate control system, Bluetooth and smartphone connectivity, a driver information system with a 2.3 inch screen, and power locks.
The particulars of the engine are impressive too. 2017 Autoreleasedate states that under the stately hood is a 3.5 liter EcoBoost V-6 engine. This twin-turbo, fuel-injected power generator replaces the old 6.2 liter V8 model. The output figures remain unannounced as of now, but needless to say, the new engine will fare better at running the heavy-duty truck.
Releasedatesautomobiles credits the new Raptor with at least six different driving modes, each suited for a different terrain and environment. They include a normal mode for routine driving, a mud and sand mode for muddy roads, Baja mode for tackling the desert landscapes, a street mode for on-road trips, a weather mode to handle snow and rain, and a rock mode for driving at low speeds on rocky territories.
The 2017 Raptor is set to release in early 2017, or during the latter half of the year. The base model is believed to be priced somewhere around $50,000.
