Xiaomi's recently released bezel-less wonder, the Mi MIX phablet, has been getting quite the praise from consumers and would-be buyers as of late. Hence, the Beijing-based phone maker may be capitalizing on the hype as it is rumored that the phablet will be having a more compact sibling.

Initially codenamed as "Nano," the phone is now theorized to be named as Mi MIX Mini and is said to be in development as spy photos of the rumored handset are currently making rounds on the web.

In the leaked shots, photos of the device alongside its bigger counterpart were taken inside a vehicle. The side by side look at the devices show the changes in measurement for the yet to be released device. Just like its more massive variant, it will still don the almost bezel-less screen and it is expected to perform similarly to the Mi MIX.

If recently released reports are anything to go by, the phone is likely to feature a 16-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie snapper, though this aspect of the phone has yet to be verified as of the moment. Furthermore, it's most likely to carry a substantial 4 GB of random access memory (RAM) together with a generous 64 GB of internal memory space. Meanwhile, it is believed that the device will be announced right before the year ends.

Just like its trimmed down display, the Mi MIX Mini's price tag will definitely be reduced as well. It is estimated to be initially offered for a little less than $440.

Intel about the mini smartphone's specs remains scarce for now, though future leaks are expected as each day passes. Since the Xiaomi Mi MIX Mini could be revealed soon, stay tuned for the latest news and updates.
