Xbox Games with Gold free games July 2015: 'Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag', 'Gears of War' among free games

Microsoft has finally unveiled the pack of four games that Xbox Live with Gold subscribers will be able to grab for free in the month of July. Yet again, the tech dragon has prepared two free titles each for the Xbox One and for the Xbox 360.

Microsoft is going big for the coming month with owners of the new-generation console getting "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag" on the house for the whole month of July. The game has infamous bandit Edward Kenway caught in the middle of a warfare between the Assassins and Templars.

Set in the pirate-infested 18th century Caribbean, the open world stealth video game has a sprawling realm waiting to be explored and Ubisoft provided a ship to set the journey full of wall climbing and back stabbing in motion. With this as an Xbox Live with Gold freebie, Xbox One gamers save $29.99.

"So Many Me," which can be downloaded for free from July 16 to Aug. 15, is the second game free to Xbox Live with Gold users who own an Xbox One. This 2D puzzle platformer follows Filo as he teams up with a motley crew of clones in the hopes of saving the world from an ancient, malevolent evil that threatens its safety.

As for the Xbox 360 players, Xbox Live Games with Gold rewards them in July with the Popcap knockout "Plants vs. Zombies". The mega popular real-time strategy and tower defense game will be up for grabs starting tomorrow until July 15.

Lastly, Xbox 360 users will get to keep $19.99 in their pocket with Epic Games' military science fiction third-person shooter "Gears of War 3" a giveaway for July. The game, which will be getting a sequel fashioned for the Xbox One next year, will be for the taking during the latter half of July.

Microsoft's Xbox Live with Gold Games for the coming month offer both hardcore and light games, which are paired perfectly for players subscribed to the service.
