'Uncharted 4: A Thief's End' news: Multiplayer beta schedule moved to Dec. 3

Hardcore fans who can't wait to get an early peek at how the next installment in the "Uncharted" series will look, feel, and play will have just hours to wait. Apparently, the scheduled multiplayer beta has moved up a day, going live Dec. 3.

According to a Twitter update from PlayStation Europe, the multiplayer beta will start Thursday at 5 p.m. GMT, placing it around 9 a.m PST and 12 p.m. EST. Originally, the beta had been scheduled to start on Friday, Dec. 4, as reported by GameSpot. Apparently, the industry follower covered a recently concluded livestream event from the developer that touched on the upcoming multiplayer beta, along with some teaser details about "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End."

While Sony PlayStation and developer Naughty Dog have not yet stated if the end date will be changed too, some comments on the original Twitter post had hardcore followers mentioning that that original Dec. 13 end date will not be adjusted.

Meanwhile, hardcore fans of the franchise should note that not everyone will be accommodated in the multiplayer beta. Serving as a stress test for its multiplayer servers, the beta version will only be available for players who have already purchased a copy of "Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection."

According to Push Square, instead of redeeming vouchers or codes in the platform, players just need to add a save file playing the anthology. Once the multiplayer beta becomes live, a patch will automatically link up with the "Collection" dashboard, and the beta will be available for access on the main screen. The beta itself is only a glimpse of the new title, offering players two maps and one mode to play with. In addition, any items or progress made in the beta will not be carried over to the full version once it releases.

"Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" will roll out as a PS4 exclusive in March 2016.
