Activision and Robomodo's "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5" has received negative reviews and criticism for its numerous bugs and glitches. Activision has taken heed of these complaints and has issued an official statement regarding the concern, reports IGN.
"We are aware of the issues that players have experienced following the launch of 'Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5' and are working with the developer to address these so that we can continue to improve the gameplay experience for all of the 'Tony Hawk' fans who have known and loved this franchise for more than 16 years," reads their official response.
The game does suffer from a multitude of problems, from simple graphical clipping to game-breaking issues with the physics engine. There are moments where the hit detection is broken, where the gravity stops working, leading to players floating with no direction or control. There are also instances where the player just drops through the ground.

More concerning for many gamers, however, is the fact that these glitches persist despite a Day One patch that was 7.7 GB in size, reportedly bigger than the file size of the shipped product.
According to Gamespot, there is a possibility that the game was rushed out to store shelves as Activision's publishing deal with the "Tony Hawk" brand is expected to expire by the end of this year, meaning the company had to release the game before 2016, whether the game has been polished or not.
The game also made a sudden shift in art style just two months prior to the game's release. Fans speculate that the shift to a cel-shaded look may have been done in order to enhance gameplay performance, but given the glitches and bugs that plague the game, it appears that this change has been for naught.
"Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5" is currently available for Xbox One and PS4 and will release for the Xbox 360 and PS3 this Nov. 10 but without the "seamless" multiplayer mode.
