Respawn Entertainment's recently released first-person shooter video game, "Titanfall 2" obtained highly positive reviews only a few weeks after its launch. While competing titles such as "Battlefield 1" and "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" are struggling to keep up with the commercial success of the game, Respawn Entertainment is giving fans more reasons to be delighted with the announcement that the previously promised free downloadable content (DLC) will finally be released.

First announced through the game's official blog, the DLC is said to arrive at the month's end and that it will be offering a free multiplayer map that is quite familiar to "Titanfall" fans. The map, which is the first of its kind for the sequel, is called Angel City and is based on the original game. For those who pre-ordered the game, the map becomes available on Nov. 30, while others will get it by Dec. 3.

According to Cinema Blend, the map will be bundled with a new Wingman Elite Pistol and a bunch of new Titan Kits, highlighted by the Ion Refraction Lens kit and the Scorched Earth kit. The former contains the Splitter Rifle while the latter comes equipped with the Flame Core weapon that burns the ground and leaves some type of thermite trail.

Other than the kits, the new DLC for "Titanfall 2" will also include a brand new pilot execution in which gameplay allows phasing into people and then killing them. Likewise, the game will be introducing a new cash shop store feature, but Respawn was quick to explain that there will be no payment requirement for weapons, maps, or even Titans. The purpose of the store is for gamers to be able to purchase skins and other kinds of visually customizable items for both Titans and pilots.

"Titanfall 2" is currently available for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
