Marvel's upcoming film, "Thor: Ragnarok" is considered to have a storyline that will be pivotal to "Avengers: Infinity War" as well as the conclusion of the cinematic universe's Phase 3.

Reports say that filming for the third "Thor" has just ended with the production crew now making edits and finishing touches on it before it is released late next year.

Aside from the Hulk/Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) as one of the confirmed characters in the upcoming "Thor" installment, Doctor Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) is also most likely to be included. Marvel fans will remember that in the post-credits scene of "Doctor Strange," the Sorcerer Supreme was seen conversing with the prince of Asgard.

Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe can also look forward to the inclusion of Cate Blanchett who will pay the role of Hela. Based on the comic books, the character will be one of the antagonists that Thor (Chris Hemsworth) will be facing in the next film. She is rumored to be one of the key precursors that will fuel Thanos (Josh Brolin) to instigate the Infinity War.

Meanwhile, it is also believed that the final Infinity Stone might be spotted in "Ragnarok." Rumors suggest that Hela might be the keeper of the "Soul Gem" since the character is based on the Norse goddess of death, Hel. Thor's hammer, Mjolnir, could also be a tenable possibility since the weapon seems to look into the person's soul to see if that being is worthy enough to lift it.

Furthermore, it was noted that "Independence Day: Resurgence" star Jeff Goldblum is also one of the confirmed actors for the film. He will portray the role of the cosmic being named Grandmaster.

"Thor: Ragnarok" is slated to be released on Nov. 3, 2017.
