'The Young and the Restless' spoilers: Episode recap - Victor is informed that Kelly is dead

Thursday on "The Young and the Restless," Phyllis arrives at the hospital in Chicago and asks Avery about her breakup with Dylan. Avery tells her that she doesn't appreciate her meddling in her life. Avery says that breaking up with Dylan was the right thing to do, and Phyllis tells her that she needs to stop acting like Joe's nurse and reminds her that she's a lawyer and she has to get back to her life. Phyllis says that Joe is deceiving her, and Joe says that he doesn't have anything to hide.

Meanwhile, in Genoa City, Billy is dropping off the baby at Chelsea's place when Gabriel arrives. Gabriel wants him to go, but Billy says that the child has an ear infection and needs to be with his mom. They argue and Gabriel says that the child's father wouldn't want Billy around his family. Billy says that Adam confessed to what happened to Delia, and Gabriel defends him.

Later at the lab, Billy tells Ashley about his fight with Gabriel and says that it's as if he's an avenging angel sent by Adam. He also thinks it's a little strange how Gabriel knows so much.

At the shack, Kelly watches Jack on a monitor to see if he'll try to escape. When he doesn't, she returns with some books and frees him from his last shackle. Kelly goes out to get something, and she stands on the other side of the door holding a bat, waiting for him to attack her. He doesn't, and he just climbs into bed. Kelly thinks that now he really is hers. She joins him in bed.

When Jack wakes up, he finds blood on his hands and finds Kelly dead.

On Friday's episode, Nick announces to his family that he and Sage are having a baby, and Victoria asks him if he's sure that the baby is his. Victor is informed that Kelly is dead and Jack is gone, and an unexpected guest crashes a party for the Newman-Abbott merger. Lily confronts Devon and Hilary.

"The Young and the Restless" airs from Mondays to Fridays at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
