"The Last Guardian" is almost there. In less than three weeks' time, the game that took almost 10 years to develop will finally be released. Game creator Fumito Ueda is both relieved and pressured at the same time. He is relieved because the creation stage is now over and pressured about the players' reaction when they see the game.

Ueda is the lead designer for the upcoming action adventure game about a young boy that befriended a giant half-bird half-mammal creature, Trico. The two teamed up, and the players will now help them to escape, by avoiding or attacking the guards that patrol the castle. The game centers on the relationship between the boy and Trico.

According to Digital Trends, who had the chance to talk to the game creator, Ueda is still having a hard time believing that they are now finished with the game that he has not shaken off everything yet.

Ueda said, "It's still with me. I have that lingering feeling. Because we worked on it for so long, I will say that it's a bit sort of sad that it's over, and that, you know, we're not going to be actively working on it anymore. But at the same time, I am definitely relieved that we have been able to finish it, and now it's going to be in everyone's hands soon."

Ueda also added that the feeling he feels now is the possible negative reaction that the players would make when they experience the game. He is afraid that the final product may not live up to their expectations, although he is also trying not to be affected by it. He believes that he chose the path that will make the game unique compared to other games in this ear.

"The Last Guardian" will be available for the PlayStation 4 starting Dec. 6 in Japan and in North America. Europe will get to taste it starting Dec. 7, while gamers in the United Kingdom will have it on Dec. 9.
