After a long time promoting his appearance on The CW show "The Flash," actor Mark Hamill will finally be seen in the next episode. The "Star Wars" icon will be appearing in episode 17, once again portraying the role of a villain known as the Trickster. Hamill originally played as the character in the 1990 "Flash" TV series, but it only lasted for one season with a total of 22 episodes.

According to the official synopsis of the episode, a new villain is a serial killer using the name "Trickster" who begins to set off explosives in the city. Barry Allen and Joe speak with James Jesse, the original Trickster who has been in prison for two decades, in order to get clues on how to stop the new copycat.

Things go awry when the two Tricksters join forces and kidnap Henry Allen, played by John Wesley Shipp. Shipp is also known for playing The Flash in the 1990s series alongside Hamill, making this episode a mini-reunion for the two actors and a neat Easter egg for fans of the older TV series.

The episode will also delve into Harrison Wells and the origins of the particle accelerator via flashbacks. Iris, on the other hand, is going to experience difficulty with a case and will ask Eddie for some help.

Hamill as the Trickster is not his only run in a DC property. Most notably recognized for his role as Luke Skywalker in the "Star Wars" franchise, the actor was also the voice of the Joker in "Batman: The Animated Series" during the 1990s, a role he reprised for the "Arkham" video games.

Episode 17, "Tricksters," is set to air on March 31. Following this episode, there will be a short two-week hiatus. The remaining six episodes will begin to air on April 14.
