The Arrow Season 4 spoilers: 'Masked' Diggle in new season?

If you caught the last part of the Arrow's Season 3 finale, you may have caught that scene where Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and John Diggle (David Ramsey) parted ways with some broken trust in tow.

Such was apparent due to the events that had transpired but one notable line that Ollie gave Diggle was to wear a mask. Apparently this was to keep his identity in check, especially considering Diggle had a family to protect.

And as one would expect, such has brought about wild speculations on previously spread rumors concerning John Diggle becoming Green Lantern. Though from some point it does look logical, it will never happen at least for now.

Apparently there will be a lot of twists that could be done. For those who have been watching the Flash as well, the episode where Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and the gang were trying to transport the villains to safety dropped some hints on the abandoned area. The Flash did say that the pilot mysteriously disappeared and everyone knows how Hal Jordan got his powers through an alien.

Seeing that no alien angle has been connected in the Arrow and the Flash for now, it seems odd to see the transformation of Diggle in season 4 just like that. Then again, there could be some flashbacks or fast-forwards that would make up for that, seeing that Ollie and Felicity are bound for somewhere no one even knows where.

If not the Green Lantern, Diggle could don a mask as a vigilante. He doesn't have superpowers nor a ring to even come close to being GL. The name could be fabricated and tied up to John Stewart (maybe John Steward Diggle or John Diggle Stewart) but that angle seems to need a lot of work to make it believable to the DC universe fans.

The only thing certain is that Diggle will wear a mask in season 4 according to rumors but it doesn't necessarily tie him up with Green Lantern. He could fight crime as plain Diggle but as to what his alias would be remains a mystery for now.
