The Tennessee Titans look to erase the memories of all the awful seasons they have had and look to build on the No. 2 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft quarterback Marcus Mariota who has been receiving good reviews from his receivers.

"We have to make the plays for him even though he's a smooth guy. He's a real good quarterback. I see it in him," Justin Hunter said through the Titans' website according to CBS Sports.

Hunter spent his first two years with the Titans and truly understands the struggle of the franchise especially coming from a 2-14 season.

Meanwhile, Hakeem Nicks said according to CBS Sports, "He's a grown man. I think he's going to adapt fairly quickly. He's been making some throws that are pretty impressive to me."

Tennessee's newest acquisition, wide receiver Harry Douglas, who has worked with quarterback Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons since 2008 before joining the Titans also had some good words for Mariota.

"One thing I can say about Marcus, though, is that he's very intelligent," Douglas shared according to CBS Sports.

"He's smart, he's athletic and he can play the game. He knows the game. He goes through all his progressions, and he throws well," he added.

With the hype all on the 21-year-old Heisman Trophy winner will likely be the starter for the Titans when they begin their season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on September 13.

But in a report by CBS Sports, Titans quarterback Zach Mettenberger told ESPN last month that he will not easily hand the starting job to Mariota.

"I don't [know] what the mindset is, but at the end of the day I can just control what I do and I'm extremely confident in myself, almost to a fault," Mettenberger said.

"But people who know me know I'm not going down without a fight to the death," he added.
