Telltale Games 'The Walking Dead' season 3 spoilers: Older Clementine confirmed

Clementine as depicted in Telltale Games The Walking Dead Season 2 Telltale Games

Speaking to IGN, "The Walking Dead" creator Robert Kirkman revealed that Telltale Games' "The Walking Dead" season 3 will still have Clementine in the game but that this will be an older version of the character set in a time period much closer to the that of the current comic book issues.

"We'll be checking in on Clementine again, so we'll be seeing her, seeing where she's at and what's going on with her, which is going to be great," he explained. "Season 3 will actually be getting pretty close to where we are in the comics currently -- like the books that are coming out now are roughly in the same time frame that season 3 will be in."

The report points out that the video game's first two seasons take place right when the zombie apocalypse just began and focused on a young Clementine as she traversed through the wasteland looking for allies. Kirkman's statements indicate that season 3 will pick up four years after season 2, which would make Clementine roughly 14 years old.

In season 1 she was the most important NPC but became the lead character in season 2. This may no longer be the case in season 3. Kirkman did not clarify whether or not Clementine is the controllable character or, like in season 1, one of the central side characters.

Kirkman also pointed out that the third season of the game will tie into the comic books far more so than previous seasons. Telltale Games attempted this first with "The Walking Dead: Michonne" game and now the main series may tie into the current events in the comic books as well.

This has gotten fans speculating that the main comic books will finally introduce Clementine as a part of Rick Grime's group. If this is the case then the third season of the game may reveal how and why Clementine discovered Alexandria and befriended its residents, included Rick and the others.

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
