Developer Bandai Namco Entertainment is just getting started with "Tekken 7" as it plans to make the game even bigger by churning out extra content for the fighting game.

In an interview with PlayStation Lifestyle, game director Katsuhiro Harada revealed some of their plans on expanding "Tekken 7" while keeping the cards close to his chest.

"Up until now, our DLC was free, but we were only able to provide free content for two to three months after launch. However, current feedback from players has been that they want to see a longer span of support after the release, so we are currently still discussing our plans for DLC," he said.

As for additional game modes for "Tekken 7," he emphasized that the Story mode will be a lot better than the ones in the previous iterations of the game.

"Story Mode might sound similar to past modes because of the name alone, but it is quite unique in that you can shift seamlessly from cinematics to actual gameplay, and this sets it apart from other fighting games," Harada said, and he added that they have more awesome things planned that he cannot reveal at the moment.

The game director also teased that the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of "Tekken 7" set to be released next year will come with extra content as usual.

Harada also promised that everyone is giving their "120-percent" in completing the console versions in time for the 2017 launch they promised.

As for the possibility of guest characters popping here and there in "Tekken 7," Harada played coy and said that the focus, for now, is to complete the game and "make it awesome."

"Tekken 7" will be released for the PS4 and Xbox One next year. Details on the additional content should be revealed as the release date nears.
