Taylor Swift news: "Blank Space" singer goes to Target for album ritual, suprises fans

Taylor Swift went shopping at Target, and everyone got the surprise of their day.

In an Instagram story, the "Gorgeous" singer announced that she was going to a local Target store to buy some magazines and for an album ritual. The "ritual" would have Swift buying her album at the retail store. With her were backup dancers and singers, Clare, Eliotte, Mel, and Kamilah. Swift and her gang then went to a Nashville Target and gave their fans a shock.

"I just wanted everyone to be updated that we already started stalking Christmas stuff. It's wrapped in shiny plastic!" the "Look What You Made Me Do" singer quipped before pointing at her album. When Swift finally got everything she needed, other shoppers had the chance to have selfies with the "Blank Space" singer. Of course, Swift obliged as well to those who were asking autographs.

Prior to the release of her album, Swift also surprised and treated Swifties, who had no idea that the "Style" singer had been stalking them. In October, 100 lucky fans had been invited to an exclusive listening party in London. These few Swifties were handpicked by the "Shake It Off" singer herself.

Apparently, Swift had been eyeing fans who could vie for the lucky roster who first heard songs from her "Reputation" album. She had been monitoring and targeting fans online, and she even interacted with some of them through social media.

Indeed, Swift has been good to her fans, and this has proven fruitful for her, as seen with her album "Reputation" selling more than 1 million copies less than a week after being released. Aside from this, her growing fan base has been faithful to her, considering that this was her fourth album to sell more than a million copies in a week.
