On a rare occasion, "Steven Universe" creator Rebecca Sugar shared some details about the upcoming season of the Cartoon Network show when it returns for season 4.

According to Sugar, the show is not alien to tackling issues involving the LGBT as it fearlessly includes LGBT episodes. It is also a testament to the show's depth as it also deals with issues of loss and moving on, Movie News Guide reported.

Sugar said that she also draws inspiration from her own experiences when creating stories for the show like a song performed by Estelle and AJ Michalka titled "Here Comes a Thought," which inspires people experiencing tough times that there is hope and everything will be fine.

Meanwhile, in a separate report by Enstarz, Sugar and the cast of the show revealed during the recently held New York Comic Convention that the fourth season will be about accepting different people and promoting an understanding of these differences.

The show also released a sneak peek which showed Lapis Lazuli and Peridot trying to grow vegetables at the farm, not knowing that vegetables do not talk or move. Steven tries to comfort them from disappointment by planting seeds to cheer them up from their slump.

The sneak peek also hinted at the improving relationship between Lapis and Peridot. According to Sugar, this improved relationship is a testament to the show's strategy of building relationships among the characters based on real emotions.

Fans of the show may also be happy to note that the next big arc of the show will have something to do with Rose Quartz. Sugar also hinted that the show may see an older Steven for the fourth season.

While there has been no specific release date announced for the show's return, it is expected to make a comeback on Cartoon Network with an episode entitled "Gem Harvest" this November.
