'The Sims 4': New world to be added, 'Newcrest' free game update on June 11

"The Sims 4" players will never have to go through the agony of expelling existing families in the neighborhood to welcome new ones. The latest iteration of the wildly popular simulation game is getting a new world called Newcrest, a blank slate megalopolis awaiting to be populated by new Sims.

"Simmers have created millions of Sims since The Sims 4 released last September, and many of our players have been asking for more space to move them into," game publisher Electronic Arts said, promising to heed the call for more room to tweak.

"We know that many of you wanted more room to expand, but didn't have the heart to evict the likes of Bella Goth, Malcolm Landgraab, and Bob Pancakes. We can't blame you – who would want to live in a world without the Goths? That's why we made Newcrest a clean slate," EA went on to say.

Newcrest will offer three neighborhoods, all with five lots, that players can build on. They can also download homes and venues straight from the gallery. In a nutshell, players can put "whatever they want there" because Newcrest is where gamers can let their "creativity shine."

Players will get lots from as small as 20 x 15 to a massive 50 x 40. They can movie in to the new world on June 11. Newcrest is free and will be available to all Simmers. A 20-second clip shows just how great the possibilities are in this new place.

Back in April, game developer Maxis and EA released the first "The Sims 4" expansion pack, which gives Sims the chance to build a career. The "Get to Work" expansion pack allows players to follow their dreams and become a scientist (mad or not, it is up to the players' imagination), a police detective, or a doctor. Gamers are able to put up a business, too.
