'Sherlock' season 4 spoiler news: Is Moriarty still alive?

"Sherlock" Season 4 is still far off but this early, rumors are starting to swirl on what to expect. And topping them all is word that a special episode may be airing this coming Christmas, the episode to which has yet to be announced.

Moving forward, something in the minds of many is on whether Jim Moriarty (Andrew Scott) is alive or not. Known to be Sherlock's (Benedict Cumberbatch) nemesis, the executive producer of BBC made it clear that it would be impossible for Moriarty to come back since he shot himself in the face.

So if ever, Moriarty could be back but during flashbacks or unless there is a time travel angle included in the show which doesn't really seem to fit the series setting.

Mary Watson (Amanda Abbington) will give birth to a child. Yes, Watson (Martin Freeman) will become a father. There are some who say that Mary could die and that she could have a miscarriage. If that should be the case, her character could be stricken out of the picture which seems a highly unlikely occurrence.

Will Molly (Louise Brealey) and Sherlock finally hook up?

Could Sherlock have another brother? Another rumor is that a third brother could make an appearance in Season 4.

Regardless, those are just some of the roaming rumors about "Sherlock" Season 4 going around. And with the series still far off, expect more wild speculations from critics and fans alike before the 2016 season 4 debut.
