The Seattle Seahawks' are continuing their organized team activities as part of their preparation for training camp and the 2016 season but are still facing injuries to their defensive backs (Legion of Boom) which were mostly suffered during the 2015 playoffs.
Cornerback Richard Sherman and free safety Earl Thomas suffered their injuries facing the Green Bay Packers in the NFC championship game, according to ESPN.
Sherman had a torn ligament in his elbow while Thomas sustained a separated shoulder.
"These last few years we've played a lot of games. It's tops in the league. It wears on your body, and you're going to have injuries," Sherman said in an interview on John Clayton's 710 ESPN Seattle radio show, ESPN reported.
Nickelback Jeremy Lane broke his arm and also suffered a torn ACL in the Super Bowl after an interception.
Strong safety Kam Chancellor tore a knee ligament while practicing two days before the Super Bowl while cornerback Tharold Simon also had a separated shoulder.
Sherman and Chancellor almost went through surgery after their Super Bowl loss to the New England Patriots but it appears that they did not need to and are performing at a hundred percent during the Seahawks' OTAs.
Chancellor said according to ESPN, "I feel great. I feel back to football form. I feel fast, feel strong. I just feel good out there."
"This is my first offseason training without surgeries, and I just feel a whole lot stronger at this point," he added.
Meanwhile Thomas is coming off a surgery last February and joined OTAs Tuesday doing some position drills, ESPN reported.
Lane on the other hand will have a much longer recovery process since he suffered major injuries.
Sherman did not opt to have a Tommy John surgery on his elbow and said his mobility is there and there is no issue with his strength, ESPN reported.
In the report, Sherman also said there are no excuses in their Super Bowl defeat and it is time to move on with them coming back healthier and wiser for next season.
