The Major League Baseball All-Star game will be on July 14 at the Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, Ohio and as the voting continues San Francisco Giants outfielder Nori Aoki was booted off the top three of the National League outfielders.

Aoki is now on the fourth spot as Miami Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton climbed up from the Japanese's current position to the second spot and will likely be starting come the All-Star game next month, the Associated Press reported.

The Associated Press also reported that 420 million votes have been tallied for this year's game with each fan being allowed to vote 35 times, this surpasses the record set for the number of votes two years ago which was 391 million.

Washington Nationals' Bryce Harper leads the NL outfielders with 9.2 million votes followed by Stanton (4.8 million), St. Louis Cardinals' Matt Holiday (4.7 million) and Aoki (4.3 million), according to the Associated Press.

Fans can vote until July 2 with the starters likely to be introduced on July 5.

Meanwhile, Aoki was removed from the starting lineup Tuesday due to a lower leg injury before their game against the San Diego Padres which they lost 3-2.

In a report by CSNBayarea.com following the game, Giants manager Bruce Bochy announced that Aoki suffered a fractured right fibula.

Bochy added that the 33-year-old will be sidelined for at least two weeks and is in a cast.

After two weeks Aoki will be re-evaluated and there is no timetable for his return, CSNBayarea.com added.

CSNBayarea.com also reported that the Giants activated pitcher Jean Machi from the 15-day disabled list and cleared a roster spot for him by sending pitcher Michael Broadway to the Triple-A Sacramento River Cats.

Machi was placed on the disabled list earlier this month after sustaining a left groin strain having 24 appearances for San Francisco posting a 5.47 ERA and is 1-0.
